Hosa Horasa
Swieci miesiaczek na niebie,
Pusc mnie dziewczyno do siebie,
Hosa Horasa, Polska Kielbasa,
Pusc mnie dziewczyno do siebie.
Jak ze ja ciebie puscic mam,
Bo ja sierota a tys pan.
Hosa Horasa, Polska Kielbasa,
Bo ja sierota a tys pan.
Jak zes ty mnie oj poznala,
Zes ty mnie panem nazwala,
Hosa Horasa, Polska Kielbasa,
zes ty mnie panem nazwala.
Poznalam ja cie po nosie,
I po czapeczce na glowie,
Hosa Horasa, Polska Kielbasa,
I po czapeczce na glowie.
Are you sure about these lyrics? According to google and poltran, miesiaczek refers to menstruation. The first line means, "The menstruation is shining in the sky." Of course, some slang expressions are hard to translate, but I am not finding anything different. Have your lyrics been hacked? Also, I cannot find a translation for Hosa Horasa, do you know what that means?
ReplyDeleteOK, it has something to do with "period", but I am still not sure what it means for some sort of period of shining in the sky. And I don't know what hosa horasa means.
ReplyDeleteOK, I found it. The oberek is a version of a Polish folk song, "Świeci miesiąc na niebie", loosely translated as "a month shines in the sky". Apparently, a man (not a peasant) has been taking advantage of a peasant woman for a while and the woman is talking back to him as he is leaving. Hosa Horasa is apparently a nonsense phrase, along with the reference to kielbasa.
